A Mexican restaurant with a wildlife taxidermy kingdom! Wow I'm fascinated, intrigued, disturbed, and the margarita is good. I'm ordering tacos.. the plates are too expensive for a solo diner. This place is more like $$ imo Pro tip: Don't bring ur vegan friend here But if you happen to be a wildlife illustrator like me, this a great place to get some original photos for your reference library..

Stopped by on my way to LA from Vegas to have breakfast. It was such an interesting experience. The staff was super friendly and portion sizes were big. The interesting part is the decor. They have so many animals all over the restaurant and hunting pictures. I have never seen some of the animals in real life so we spent the time waiting for our food figuring out each animal. It's such a good photo op as well.

Steak Picado: excellent, full of onions tomatos, and peppers, I think the best Steak Picado I've ever had. In the past I've had: beef tacos: excellent, burritos: very good, carne asada: very good. OK prices, good service, large portions. Right off the northbound Barstow Road I-15 exit, you can enter from the street behind the restaurant, large parking lot for RVs, trailer towing trucks, very easy exit and re-enter I-15. Oh, the owner is a hunter, so he has some of his 'trophys' on display, so prepare yourself.

Stopped in on way from Vegas. Authentic is the key word here. House made chips and 2 salsas. One mild one really hot. I ordered an asada burrito and my buddy Carl ordered breakfast. Both plates didn't have a chance. Gobbled up in a hurry. Worth the stop. We loved it!

Stopped by here on our drive home from Vegas. Service was quick and efficient Tried the chile verde, asada burrito and pollo asada. Chili verde: 8 out of 10 Burrito: 8 out of 10 Pollo asada: 6 out of 10 (too many bones) Rice and beans: 8 out of 10 Salsa: 7 out of 10 I wouldn't drive out of my way for this place but, would totally stop here again on my journey from Vegas. Pricing is a bit steep for the Barstow area.

I popped into Casa Jimenez for some food during a road trip & was pleasantly surprised. When you're on the road you don't always get lucky however this time it was a win. The Al pastor tacos were VERY good & large portions as well. If you need a break from the road & need a good meal, definitely check out Casa Jimenez.
